Most automation projects fail before they start — the business builds the wrong thing. Arc maps your operational gaps first, in writing, in 14 days. Then you decide what to build.

You can't automate a gap
you haven't mapped.

Arc's rule is simple: no build before the gap is mapped. The diagnostic exists to rank your problems by what they actually cost — not by what's most visible or most annoying.

01 · INTERVIEW

We talk to the people doing the work.

Operators know where the operation leaks. Owners usually know half of it. The diagnostic starts with structured interviews across your team — where time goes, what gets re-entered by hand, which handoffs break, what everyone has quietly stopped doing because it takes too long.

Findings verified, not assumed.
02 · AUDIT

We audit the workflows and the vendor stack.

Every subscription, tool, and manual process gets logged. Most GTA businesses we diagnose are paying for software they barely use while their most expensive processes still run on memory and group chats. The audit shows both: what you pay for and what it actually does.

Vendor audit included in every brief.
03 · DOCUMENT

You get the brief. In writing.

The AIT-D Diagnostic Brief is a prioritized map of every automation opportunity in your business — what to build first, expected time savings, and what each build requires. It's yours to keep and act on, with Arc or without us. We don't sell reports that only make sense if you hire us.

The three leaks we find
in almost every operation.

01 · REPEATED MANUAL WORK

The same task, done by hand, weekly

Quoting, invoicing, scheduling, follow-ups, reporting. If a person does the same task the same way more than three times a week, the diagnostic flags it, times it, and prices what it costs you per month.

02 · BROKEN HANDOFFS

Data re-entered between systems

A lead lands in email, gets copied to a spreadsheet, then typed into an invoice tool. Every hop is time lost and an error waiting to happen. The diagnostic maps every place your data moves by hand.

03 · SILENT DROPS

Follow-ups that never happen

The most expensive leak is invisible: the lead nobody called back, the quote nobody chased, the review nobody requested. These don't show up in any report — until the diagnostic reconstructs them.

From first call to Diagnostic Brief:
14 days.

01

Discovery call

A 30-minute call. We ask how your operation runs, where the time goes, and what you've already tried. If there isn't enough operational complexity to justify a diagnostic, we tell you that on the call — not after you've paid for one.

02

Diagnostic sprint

Operator interviews, workflow audit, vendor audit. We verify every finding before it goes in the brief — timings, volumes, and where the money actually leaks. No estimates dressed up as facts.

03

Brief delivered

You receive the AIT-D Diagnostic Brief within 14 days: verified findings, prioritized automation targets, and a scoped recommendation for what to build first. You decide whether to proceed. The $500 diagnostic fee is credited toward any install.

Questions about AI diagnostic
consulting in Toronto

A consultation is a conversation. A diagnostic is a documented investigation. Arc's diagnostic interviews your operators, audits your workflows and vendor stack, and maps exactly where your operation is losing time and money. The output is an AIT-D Diagnostic Brief — a written, prioritized map of every automation opportunity in your business, with what to build first and why. You keep the brief whether or not you build with us.
The Diagnostic Brief is issued within 14 days of the first call. Most of that time is spent on operator interviews, workflow audits, and verifying findings — we don't publish a finding we can't back with evidence. The engagement starts with a 30-minute discovery call to confirm there's enough operational complexity to justify a diagnostic at all.
Arc's diagnostic is $500, and it's credited toward any install that follows. Installs run $2,500–$4,500 and retained operation starts at $2,500/month. The diagnostic is priced to be a low-risk first step: you get a documented map of your operation's gaps either way, and you only proceed to a build if the brief justifies it.
Because automating the wrong process wastes the budget and hardens a broken workflow. Most failed automation projects fail at selection, not implementation — the business automated what was visible instead of what was expensive. The diagnostic exists to rank your gaps by actual cost so the first build pays for the second. That's the core of Arc's method: no build before the gap is mapped.
A verified findings section covering where your operation is leaking time and money, a prioritized list of automation targets with expected time savings, a vendor and tooling audit of what you already pay for, and a scoped recommendation for what to build first. Every finding is documented and evidence-backed. It's a working document your team can act on — with or without Arc. If you do proceed, the build is scoped directly from the brief; read more on our services page.
